Parting out Harris 3.5K

Post by TPT »

Being replaced by new transmitter, need to remove the carcass. Was on air when it died, burned up screen supply. Plate transformer should be OK--that is obviously local pickup only.

Replaced by a Gates Air 3.5--considerably smaller, which is nice. Three stations at this site.

Transmitter long gone--by now probably the steel probably is part of your new washer.

That model has a touch screen that's embedded in the shielded front panel. When you touch the panel, the transparent aluminum becomes clear and you can see the screen inside it.

They are displayed via a holograph above the unit. He has the little power jumper pulled off so that the holographic generator doesn't prematurely get dim and burn out.

This subject degenerated real fast. I'm still laughing.

The rest of that Atlas went into the dumpster, except for some RF parts and cool little control panel. But I couldn't help myself when I got those off of it.

And the fridge is clean (and has beer in it!, something the Atlas never did!)
